Ethically Sourced

Our ethical policy includes sourcing our lovely items in a fair way, that is kinder to the planet & the beautiful people we share it with. 

Many of our products, such as our textiles, ironwork bells & brassware are made using recycled materials helping to make our lovely fair trade products more sustainable by requiring less new raw materials meaning less waste ends up in landfill sites. 

Recycling & repurposing is key to how we make ourselves more sustainable, recycled plastic water bottles become new fibre PET yarn for making beautifully colourful fabrics for throws, blankets & footstools. 

We take a strong stance on plastic & plastic waste! All our lovely products are packaged in 100% plastic free eco friendly packaging which can be happily recycled & in many cases composted too. 

All our boxes are brown Kraft card with no extra print or additional coloured inks & we only fasten with Kraft paper packing tape so these materials are fully biodegradable. 

Much of our paper packing is to protect your lovely orders as they arrive to you in the post & we use surplus unprinted newspaper sheets as this is a material left over from the printing industry. 

As part of the Reduce, Reuse & Recycle Revolution we reuse boxes that have been used by other businesses & repurpose those to send larger orders giving a second life to packing materials before they hit the recycling plant.  

Supporting Kraft paper alternatives to plastic is important to add pressure to the plastic producing companies & industry, we are happy to deprive them of profit to help create change in the form of more affordable plastic free alternatives. 

All our products are fair trade & many of these also contribute to charities & social initiatives such as GoodWeave & Child Rescue Nepal making a fairer society for all.
