Fair Trade

Fair trade is at the core of our store here at The Happy Hippie Bus, we don’t sell anything in our store that we don’t truly believe is fair trade. 

Putting people & the planet before profit is a value we hold that helps everyone thrive through kindness & fairness. In it’s simplest form fair trade means we source all our lovely products from crafters & small scales producers, paying them fair wages for their beautiful skills & in turn helping create jobs, supporting good living conditions & offer educational opportunities in emerging economies & small communities. 

Look out for our Child Rescue Nepal labels, often small textile & jewellery items which works to eradicate child labour & offer education & learning opportunities for children in developing communities & economies.

Working closely with fair trade producers means following the principles of fair trade practices as set out by the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO) - you can find out more on the WFTO website here.
