Guatemalan Worry Doll

This is our lovely handmade Worry Doll. These come in a sweet handmade drawstring pouch each containing a beautiful & handcrafted worry doll.

Authentically Made

These traditional dolls are made in Guatemala & support ethical production & are fair trade. The bags & the dolls come in an assortment of beautiful multicolours so they may vary (but are all equally beautiful). The doll with bag are approximately 6cm, but this can vary slightly as each is handmade.

Worry Doll Story

The traditional story sees worry dolls given or lent to someone who is worried, anxious or sorrowful. The person would tell their doll about their sorrows, fears & worries, then hide it under their pillow before going to sleep.

It is believed that the person relinquishes their worries to the dolls during the night and by the next morning, all their problems are said to have been taken away by the worry doll giving them refreshed thought & clear outlook.
